The acupoints on your hands

Our body is an incredible, interconnected system. That’s why tapping on your face and upper body can release blocks from all areas of the body. And here’s something interesting - there are also tapping points on our hands!

Tap anywhere - discreetly - on your fingers

I’ve done it countless times - on my way to a meet-up in a cab, in the cinema with a scarf on my lap, even under my desk during a video call. Finger tapping is a powerful ‘secret’ tool that can help you reduce stress discreetly.

As you may know, the Traditional Tapping Sequence involves 9 points - one on the hand and 8 across the face and upper body. These acupoints stimulate your Meridian and Primo Systems, unblocking stuck energy and sending calming signals to your amygdala, which helps lower stress levels.

Acupoints on the hands

The body is interconnected, which is why we also have acupoints on our hands. This is especially handy - no pun intended - since there are times and places where it’s not practical to tap using the traditional sequence.

Notes:

As with the traditional sequence, these acupoints are on both hands, so you can tap on either hand or alternate between them.

You can also use the same hand to tap on each finger

While tapping is the most common method, the goal is to stimulate the acupressure point. So, you can also rub the point or simply apply pressure to it.

How to use the hand acupoints?

You can either incorporate the hand points into your tapping sequence - after tapping the Top of Head, move to your hand and go through the points, then return to the Eyebrow for another round.

Alternatively, you can use the hand points for a standalone ‘mini-tapping’ session. They’re especially useful for immediate, on-the-spot release.
