Tapping is featured in
The Devil Wears Prada 2

EFT tapping is slowly but surely gaining popularity. More people are learning about the benefits it offers, and growing research continues to strengthen its credibility. But when it appears in TV shows and movies, it can really help increase awareness and visibility. And that is so exciting!

Movies, TV shows and celebrities that use EFT Tapping

I was beyond excited to see EFT tapping featured on the big screen!

EFT tapping is becoming increasingly mainstream, appearing in TV shows, documentaries and now even blockbuster movies. As someone who has used and practised EFT for years, seeing it featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2 felt like a real milestone.

Did you spot EFT Tapping in The Devil Wears Prada 2?

I went to watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 in May and, when a scene showed Emily Blunt’s character tapping, I was genuinely excited.

Describing the scene without giving away any spoilers: Emily is on the phone with her daughter, who is distressed, and advises her to breathe deeply and tap-tap-tap. After she hangs up, she taps on herself too.

It’s a very short scene. Many people may not even realised or recognised what she was doing. That’s why I am sharing it here - what she was doing is called EFT tapping

Why seeing EFT Tapping in The Devil Wears Prada 2 matters?

The more EFT appears in mainstream media, the more likely people are to discover it as a tool for managing stress, anxiety and emotional challenges. For many, seeing it on screen may be the first time they realise such a technique exists.

EFT tapping combines cognitive and somatic approaches into a simple yet powerful tool that can help regulate the nervous system, release stuck emotions, and create space for new beliefs and healthier patterns.

It’s truly transformational - speaking from personal experience - and it’s also backed by a growing body of research. More and more studies are being carried out, and the results consistently highlight its effectiveness.

Movies, TV shows and celebrities that use EFT Tapping

But this is not the first time EFT tapping has been featured on the screen. Here are a few other examples:

  • The Better Sister
  • Argylle
  • Sheep Dog
  • The Mother
  • A Good Person

It has also appeared in TV shows and programmes, including:
  • Jane The Virgin (Netflix) - 2021
  • I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here (Boy George) – 2022
  • Medicine or Myth (ABC Australia) – 2019

And that’s not all. A growing number of well-known celebrities have also spoken publicly about using EFT tapping as part of their emotional wellbeing toolkit.
  • Naomi Watts and Gwyneth Paltrow have spoken about using EFT to help manage anxiety.
  • Alanis Morissette has used EFT to help overcome postpartum depression.
  • Michael Strahan has used it to overcome a fear of flying.
  • Ashley Tisdale, Emma Roberts, Miley Cyrus, Lily Allen and Emma Watson have all used EFT to help manage stress and anxiety.
  • Paul McKenna has used EFT for weight loss and overcoming phobias.
  • Whoopi Goldberg has used EFT to help manage pain.
  • Kate Winslet reportedly used EFT to help overcome stage fright.
  • Nicole Kidman has spoken about using EFT while processing grief.
  • Princess Beatrice of York has used EFT to help with dyslexia-related challenges.

Whether you've seen EFT tapping on screen, heard a celebrity mention it, or are discovering it for the first time, its growing visibility is helping more people explore a simple technique that can create meaningful change.

For me, EFT has been life-changing, and I'm always happy to see more people discovering it. It is also one of the reasons why I write these blogs - to spread the word. It's such a simple technique, yet it can have a profound impact on emotional wellbeing.

Start using tapping too

Tapping can be used for a wide range of emotional and wellbeing needs, from stress and anxiety to fears, phobias, grief and limiting beliefs.

I've personally used EFT for more than seven years and it has been transformational. I'm calmer. I’ve released limiting beliefs and shifted my perspective. I’ve processed difficult life experiences, and many triggers that once affected me no longer carry the same emotional charge. I am more inclined to respond, rather than react to situations and I feel more grounded and at peace.

What’s more, I know it’s a tool that is always available to me. And I continue to use it - whenever I feel emotional, triggered or overwhelmed. This way, emotions don't have the chance to build up and take over. Instead, they can be gently and safely processed and released.

While doing EFT on your own isn't a replacement for professional medical or mental health support, many people find it a valuable complementary tool for emotional wellbeing.

Why not give it a try?
